Q:
I have a Remington 700 lss in 300 win mag. It was only produced for a couple years in the lss 300 win mag so they are hard to find in that model if you can. It was appraised at up to 1000 dollars. I have been looking to sell or trade it for an ar15 for the wife but I had an offer that was interesting to me. It is for a Browning bar stalker lightweight in 7mm rem mag and 250 cash plus about 80 rounds. It also comes with a Simmons scope and the rifle is ceracoated in a brown. It looks good and it also has the boss system. What are your thoughts on this? Worth the trade or not? I get to keep a rifle and can start an ar15 build with the 250. Any opinions? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a good deal. My Blue Book is a few years old and it lists a 700BDL LSS for $660 in 100% condition. The Browning Lightweight Stalker with BOSS at 100% is $835.

I just had my rifle appraised at a shop for 1000 dollars at 100% so with the extra 250 and his rifle being 1000% worth what you say it looks like it could be a fair deal. If nothing else it will be cool to try a new rifle. Thanks for the help. Any other opinions or comments?

Not a fan of autoloading hunting rifles and a Cerakoted firearm has only value to the current owner. Certainly does not help the value. Simmons scope? Fagedaboutit! Junk that adds nothing to the value. Sell your rifle for $1,000 if you can get it and buy what you want. For the BAR; there is one with a decent Bushnell Elite 3200 scope on Gunbroker listed for $849 with nary a bid.
