Q:
just wondering if you guys could enlighten me about the new browning BAR rifle , is it a good rifle or does it have it flaws in areas that i should be concerned about? and what you think about it in either a 270 up to a 300 mag , about how it handles and if you like it? thanks

Nothing at all wrong with a Browning in any of those calibers, if you pland BIG game hunts buy a big Cal.
You restricted to what I call gas gun loads. Hornady make a load called the "LIGHT MAGNUM". You cannot shoot this load in your gas gun because it produces excessively high pressures at the gas port damaging the rifle and possibly injuring the shooter.
Get you a good bolt gun, you will be glad you did! If you want a gas gun, get you a M1 Garand!!
the browning bar has been around since WW2 i would go with the browning 30-06 safari its about $900-$1000 dollars but it will not jam unless you use wincheseter ammo
When someone like myself pops a cap threw one of our bolt guns and yo see the performance, you're going to wish you bought one!
Bottom line:
If you don't hit them with the first shot, what gives you the idea you're going to hit them on the second and if you become more proficient so will your accuracy and speed of cycling the bolt!
My buddy has one in 300 win, he loves it. He gets pretty good groups at the range but nothing special. But deffinatly good enough to get the job done under hunting conditions.

The Browning BAR of WWI thru Vietnam in the 60's is not the same rifle. The BAR hunting rifle currently offered by Browning is a completely different firearm, unrelated in design to the Browning military weapons.
I have a BAR in .300 Win Mag w/ the BOSS recoil reduction system. It has a composite stock and parkerized finish. I wish I would have gotten the .338, but anyways it really shoots accurately. It has recoil like a .243,hasn't jammed even w/ my hotter reloads. Clay, not everyone is righthanded. Even though I own quite a few Rifles, most are single shot/Encore, semiauto/Springfield,remington,Ruger. I could only afford one Left hand Bolt, my 25-06 Savage and that cost over $100.00 more than a righty. Even in the military, when I went thru EST, you know what that is, I used an accurized M-14 scoped for sniper duty and one @ Team Spirit. My M1A that I have now keeps up w/ the other Bolt on the range
