Q:
For some reason my Kimber 84M Montana 7mm-08 has trouble feeding bullets from the internal magazine when I load 3 bullets in it. It holds 4 bullets, and will feed fine if I load 4 in it and shoot all of the bullets in the rifle. If I load only 3 bullets in the rifle, the first bullet is fed in fine, however, the second bullet always seems to position itself in the internal magazine so that its just below the bolt so the bolt cannot push it into the chamber. I guess this is not a major problem as long as I load 4 bullets in my rifle every time, but I still found this a weird problem. Other then this minor flaw I absolutely love the rifle, any suggestions?

It could be a weak follower spring. It could be the feed rails are slightly out of tune. I would give the folks at Kimber a call and discuss the problem with them.

If you bought that Kimber new then take it back to the seller or call Kimber. For the price of those rifles you should not have to make do with what you have. Also, I do not consider this a minor flaw, it would be major to me.

You have probably got a hold of a bad magaine and have a week follower spring or the feed rails are worn. 4 Rounds put the proper amount of pressure where as 3 rounds can move around in the magazine causing it not to feed properly
