The 7-30 Waters lives on in the Contender and I understand you can order a barrel chambered in it on the Encore(never seen one). I love mine on the Contender. That round is a good mix of trajectory, knockdown and, not-too-bad recoil.
I never owned one for myself but I few used ones came through my gunshop. I thought that this would be a real winner and but apparently no one else agreed with me. I haven't seen one for a bunch of years.

the same thing that happened to the 307.win and the 375.win not enough people bought them and winchester stopped making them .
