My grandpa has one and we got it out of the box and at 30 yards i can hit chotgun shells off a 2-4 and not hit the board. they are very good guns.
My Henry is as accurate as I could want as long as I am shooting PMC Scoremaster ammo. It does pretty well with other brands, but is a real tack driver with PMC.
Mine is deadly with Federal .22LR ammo. Extremely accurate. Shoot around until you find a brand that it likes.
henry lever 22lr are good guns,i have one with a 3x9 weaver scope and like it.
Why dont you try a marlin rim-fire rifle like the model 39 .22 LR
gone fishin, a henry is alot cheaper new than a marlin
Henry's are excellent rifles, very accurate and very reliable. I have a H001T Frontier model and it is as good a gun as you could ever want for a .22 lever action- hitting the target is almost casual and it's a great looking piece of hardware. I like Henry's customer service, when you call or email them most likely the owner of the company will answer the phone. And they are 100% USA made.
