You cannot shoot a .22Magnum in a rifle that is Chambered for .22Lr, You cannot Shoot a .22Lr in a Rifle

Although the case sizes are different, the bullet diameters are the same. There are convertible revolvers available with interchangeable cylinders that permit the shooter to switch between the two rounds using the same barrel. The Ruger Single Six is one example.

Good answers! If you are looking for something to reach a little futher out at higher velocities try the new .17. It will kill anything a 22 will at longer range.
