12 guage remington 870 most versitle its used for hunting small to large sized game (realy nothing bigger than white tails) so its definatly most versitle and plus its fun to shoot
My favorite will be the m107 barrett sniper rifle.

I would say the 30/06.
My 870 is what I use most often, but I love shooting my lever gun.
I may be misinterpretting the question, but I prefer bolt action rifles because they lock up like a bank vault and they're usually easy on brass, which I reload. The cartridge choice depends on the game, but I have more bolt actions than any other type of action.
I like the Mossberg 500. Versitile gun from doves to whitetails.

I own a lot of firearms...but my all time favorite is the Red Rider BB Gun I shoot mine everyday and have worn several out. I hang a can, and a practice golf ball in the tree behind the house and every eveing sit there and lever away. My grandson thinks it's the coolest thing ever!!!!! But when your 10 your easy to entertain!
