Q:
I am shooting a CVA Wolf muzzleloader with 295gr power belt copper aero with 100gr of pellets. Last week I missed a doe that was about 50 yards out and she just stood there. This is the first time I have ever missed. I was able to reload and shoot again missing, or so I think. I looked and trailed and never saw a drop of blood. The first deer I hit this year did not bleed, but a sucking chest wound type hole at his lung. He laid down fast though. Back to the question. I am a little low at 50yards. Any suggestions or advice?

Correct your sights by elevating the rear sight until you strike the target where you desire at 50 yards or what ever distance you plan on shooting. Then shoot a group to make sure you are hitting where you are pointing.
If you still are having problems after using Beekeeps advise, I'd try using the 150 gr loads. I think the lower pressure of 100 gr with powerbelts cause some performance issues with the reveresed sabot. Maybe Beekeep can ask CVA about powerbelt problems with 100 gr vr 150 gr?
The hotter load "should" print a bit higher on the target as velocity "should" be a bit higher. There should be no performance issues between the 100 and 150 grain loads. My Dad shoots a .50 cal with the 295 grain Aero Tip over 90 grains of "loose" 777. It hammers everything he hits, expansion is very good as is accuracy.
My Brother and I have the New Savage Muzzle loader and we are shooting 45 cal saboted in our 50's. Using smokeless powder, you can see what you hit without the smoke!
By the way, I can thump a 45 cal 500 grain at 2100+ fps!
Aim higher!
if ajusting the sights doesn't work like beekeeper said take it to a gun smith and have it zeroed in using a bore sight, another problem might be your zero isnt at what you think it is
Make shure everything that is supose to be tight is tight.
