What is the difference in lengths of the Sako lll, SM and lV actions? What else might be different about these actions other than the calibers associated with them? Thanks Casey

Action length III is medium, SM is short magnum, and IV is long.

There's a great table on the sako.fi web site that gives the action for various cartridges chambered in the model 85:
http://www.sako.fi/pdf/datatables/SakoRiflesDatatable2012.pdf

For example, medium is for the .30-06 and similar, SM is for the .270 & .300 Win Short Mag, and IV is for the .300 Win Mag and similar.

On the large action that should be a 375 H&H, I don't where I got that 275 but it may make a good caliber.
