Q:
Well i've decided that im getting a benelli vinci, once i get a few more dollars. I was wondering if camo made that much of a difference in waterfowl hunting, and i've also heard that sometimes benelli blueing rust fast. I like the MAX-4 but dont wan to spend $100 extra bucks if its is only gonna help me lose it when i set it down.So should i get camo or black?

I was in your same situation wondering if the camo would be worth the extra money, I went with black and I've had ducks and geese almost land on me with the gun in plain site, so I don't think it makes that big of difference. I'm not going to say it never will but for me black is fine and it's killing birds. And as fast as that benelli will shoot you shouldn't have a problem if they do see it and pull up.

I agree with Outdoor Envy. Save the hundred bucks. I've never cared much for the concept of camo on firearms.

As long as it is not shiny blued, I think you will do fine to save your money.

If you are blind hunting black is fine. If you are field hunting, I would suggest camo. In the open fields it is more difficult to hide your shotgun sometimes. I have had geese flare because of my gun visibility when laying in a corn field with the gun on top of my camo cover so I could pull it up faster. I don't like hiding my gun under the canvas in those situations because it takes me too long to get it up and on target. With camo it works fine.
