Have any of you had Gander Mtn camo dip a gun? I got a deal on a black SBE2 and am lookin into having it dipped. How does it look? Does it wear ok or just chip off? Let me know what you think
when you have gander mountain dip a gun, it is sent out to a local company that does a lot of it. the gander gunsmiths don't have the resources to do it on site.
if you ask, the gander smith should have examples of their work. i know people have been happy with them at my store. it can take up to 6 months to have done up here.
Contact Bill Evans at www.ultracoatingsinc.com. They do beautiful work. They also put on an overcoat that will protect your dipped camou from solvents, bug repellent and other stuff that will ruin the finish. I have been to the shop in KCMO and it is ultra-modern. Beekeeper was with me see his comments on another question here.

BTW their turnaround time is much shorter than 6 months. My guess would be 1 month or less to get er done.
Make certain that they guarentee it to never chip or flake. If it isn't coated with clear it is sure to not last.
