Is anyone familiar with the Fausti shotguns sold by Cabela's? I have my eye on a SxS 16g DEA SL. Does anyone have any experience with these, or know of any online reviews?

Not overly familiar with the Fausti line of firearms, but I am a big fan of the 16ga...I would recocmend purchasing some reloading supplies if your going to invest any money on that gauge, as shells can be difficult to find some times.
I have a 12 ga Fausti Volo O/U. Was a bargain for an double, and though the break action was very stiff at first, since putting a few hundred rounds through it, it was performed without problem. I really like it.
NOTE: There is some degree of confusion about steel shot --at least with the Volo. The booklet indicates only those guns with a Fluer de Lis mark can handle steel, and the Volo does not have the mark. But several web forums have reprinted letters from Cabela's HQ saying this is a mistake and steel CAN be used.
Not huge, unless you're planning to hunt on some public sites or over water. Be sure to ask at Cabelas, because the company is not easily communicated with.
OK, I was serious about the sisters, but may have sounded insincere. If you are really interested in Fausti guns you may want to read an article the Nov/Dec 09 "Sporting Classics" magazine, and also, an article in "The Sporting Gun Jounal", issue 3, 2009 by Nick Hahn (one of the best articles on 0/U guns I have read).
