.223?
I don't hunt yotes but it seems to me that .22-250, .223, and even .204 rugers are popular loads. I think .223 is the cheapest, and you can get it in bulk most places.
An autoloader chambered in .223 is your best bet. You can either go for the Remington R-15 or a Bushmaster AR. Bushmaster makes great guns and they are easily customizable. A 20 inch barrel on a Bushmaster should handle the job nicely.
Your 20ga will work with buckshot on yotes at pretty close range. But for longer shots I use a 22-250, .223, and .243. Like already said the .223 will be a little cheaper for the ammo. But it just depends on what your wanting and the type of rifle that you want.

.223 will do the job.

I would say the same thing but i use a mini 14 ( or a semi auto 223) and it works like a charm, but a 22-250 works good too.
.223 is king for yote hunts
Ruger 25-06
25-06 75 grian lead for yotes and also a great deer rifle 120 lead
Kentucky Hunter is right about the 25-06 with 75 grain bullet. 100 works great for deer and 120's for Elk!
I suggest to you the 22-250!
I would go with a 22-250 or a .223 They are good size and should leave a good pelt.
.223 shouldnt tear up the pelt too much.
I saw a guy on TV using an AR-15 .223 and was punishing the coyotes. I have a Ruger M77 mark II 22-250 that I would use. Delivers death 400 yds away.
