It is the best pump I have ever owned. It is easy to take apart and reassemble for cleaning, ultra reliable in all conditions, and it can handle the 2 3/4 to the 3 1/2 without kicking the snot out of you.
I won one in a Fire Department raffel several years ago. Despite it's Klingon looks it is a really good shotgun. Works flawlessly and is easy to maintain. Very good pump gun. Kicks like a mule with 3.5 inch loads though... although that might be said for any gun with 3.5 inchers up the spout!
It is a tradition-breaker for sure. Ordinarily this would scare me away, as I am prone to getting stuck with innovative white elephants. But it's like Lucy suckering Charlie Brown in the Fall with the football. The reviews are all positive, and I'm gonna go for it, Klingon or not!

Tough to beat in the pump department.

It is a nice gun and will treat you well but its hard to get over the price tag on it.
Get a 870.
I prefer an 870, but nothing wrong with Benelli.
Modern engineering and design. Quite functional. A great tool, but just that - it doesn't grab me emotionally like a well made steel and wood gun.
