Q:
I recently inherited a small 22 rifle from my father and have been told that similar ones may have been used during one of the world wars as sort of throwaway rifles. The overall length is 34 inches and the barrel is 20 inches. My father used 22 shorts from what I recall. I have photos and would be interested to learn of its value.

i belive the gun you are talking about was used by the airborne units drop during d day during supply drops for forward airbore units in frace contact fort brag nc they might help you find more info on the rifle
