my dad has 1916 or 1917 enfield 30-06 from WW2. he still hunts with it every year and its more accurate than most new rifles. just wondering what its worth even though its priceless to us

Take a look at gunbroker.com to get an idea of what they go for. Obviously, the better they are, the higher they are. Enfields are shooters but because of the large number out there, they are likely to be in the $200-$300 range.

Cabelas gun libray for 799, bear in mind this is a high grade and Cabelas ain't cheap.
