my dad has a Remington 870 wing master that he he bought in 1976 it looks like he bought it yesterday. There are not intentions of selling the gun but we were wondering what it was worth. btw he only paid $97 for it

If it is in that good of shape it would probably sell for near todays prices, if the barrel etc. has been taken care of. Your not going to make money on an 870 but hopefully break even.

If for some reason you had no other choice but to sell dads gun I would give you $250 for it.

The 870 w. is an excellent gun and more valuable than say an 870 express. Excellent condition ( free of any rust, damage to wood, etc ) would net anywhere from $200 to $350. New 870 w. are around $500 depending on where you buy.

I would agree with the postings above. You can prob get 200-250 to the right person. If you sell it at a shop prob only expect 50-100! Older shotguns dont realy go up in value like some of the older rifles do.

wingmasters go for 260$ new at dick's. you could sell it for 300$ of you find a real sucker i'd pay you 100$ for it if it wasn't your dad's
