Depends on where you put in. Odds are better when you put in for the second season though. Adding to the point system you are guaranteed a tag in a few years no matter what. Friend of mine has some property in Newberry and has drawn a tag the last 3 years straight selecting the second season. Bait to use old smoke flavored grease, jelly balls,rotten cabbage work great.You can try burning honey comb too the days you hunt.
