maybe too scared to say so, but some might be buying into the "endangered" bit.
maybe some don't like the idea of not eating what you shoot.
It's possible to be a hunter and have these objections. For myself, I reject #1 and want them to be managed. I have slight sympathy for #2 but that just means I am not first in line for that hunt. I have no problem shooting coyotes and probably could transfer that feeling to wolves.
There are no sound reasons not to keep the wolves under reasonable control. All species that have controlled hunting seasons do well and live comfortably along side humans and their activities. To let this particular animals population grow beyond it's ability to comfortably co-exist would be wrong and ultimately harmful to the wolves simply because drastic measures would then have to be taken. The controlled hunts are an excellent example of proper game management techniques and will be successful.
Just a note to Kyle, I am on the right site. I am heading to the mountains today for the next 4 days to hopefully fill my elk, deer and wolf tag. I was just wondering if there were any sportsman that hate me for wanting to hunt them, because I have gotten plenty of heat for it from everybody else. Seems like most wolf hunter haters are mostly hunter haters, just looking for a sportsman with a good reason, I refuse to talk to a haters anymore.
Well Julia, I have my doubts about you anyways. Judging by your profile you aren't popular around this website anyways. I think what Clay was saying is that Canadian Wolves belong in Canada and Alaska, not in the Mountain West. Nobody wanted them imported anyways except for city folk who would visit Yellowstone once every 10 years anyways.
I’m a former Alaskan Resident, stay at home julia where you belong!
Not only you’re a hazard but a hazard to yourself!
I wish I had a nickel receiving phone calls 2am in the morning to go look for someone like julia who got there selves lost in the woods on marked trails with arows pointing the way out!
ONE MORE THING MR. amusbuster I am reporting you and it looks like alot of others are too, so buy the looks of it, your child and immature behavior is gonna get your a$$ out of here LOL!!!!!!!!

Good to see that a elk/moose-hating, wolf-loving sportsman is just a myth.
I don't like Wolves!
Wolves belong in Alaska and Canada, not around people!
PS
I don't get off on shooting one, but doesn't mean I won't!
Not enough wolves in the lower 48 to hunt them. I'm a hunter but I also respect nature. Don't give me that sound science nonscence either.

actually not racist at all, despite the high grease factor and the smell of burning shit, they are actually tender if you catch a small one.
REMEMBER; THE BEST WAY TO KEEP A NEGRO OUT OF THE BACK YARD, IS TO HANG 2 IN THE FRONT YARD.
to liberty first, also no reason not to keep negros in check, but we can't shoot them either.
