I would have to ask my grandfather, but either a model 1100 on doves, or ithaca mag 10 on turkeys when I was very young. With the ithaca he would hold me and the gun and let me look down the barrel and pull the trigger. I was probabaly 5 or 6 when we first shot it.

My introduction to pest control was with a Marlin 39A, a lever action .22 rimfire.
My first mule deer fell to a Reminton Model 600 bolt action carbine in .308 Winchester, and my first whitetail was harvested by a Remington Model 700BDL in .30-'06. My first "dedicated" varmint rifle was a Sako Vixen heavy barrel in .222 Remington.

First one I picked up. Can't remember if it was a H&R .410, or a Model 62 Winchester, but I killed squirrels, rabbits and birds with both from the time I was five.

Got you beat, Buckhunter. A 16 gauge Model 12 Winchester. Shot my first duck with it in October 1964. I'll load up a photo to go in my recently expanded gallery. Shot my first two deer the following season with a sporterized 30-06 Springfield that I still use from time to time.
