Q:
"Minn. prods feds to take gray wolf off endangered list" --- see link on first comment
What do you guys think of this? This would open up a wolf hunting season in MN, but will the animal rights people put a stop to it first? Should there be a wolf hunt?

I truly belive that if the gray wolf population is high enough to where hunting must be implemented, then a season should be opened to reduce the wolf population because of livestock endangerment. I belive animal rights groups might understand this concept but it is doubtful. Lastly i truthly believe that if the gray wolf population is not at a viable population to where inbreeding depression occurs then hunting should not be implemented. I am a active hunter an studing to be a wildlife biologist and i thought my input might serve as a knowlegable background for the gray wolf problem.
you know the antis are going to jump all over this but hopefully for once someon will listen to science instead of personal feelings and do the right thing for both people AND the animals. wolves in an ecosystem are good to a point but if there gets to be too many, it could go badly and by then it will be too late at least for one species anyway.
Sure I need a winter coat!
Well they might as well take them off the list so you can hunt them. But they will only issue so many tags. Now i'm not a believer in poaching but me and maybe a few other people would agree that you really don't have to get a tag to shoot one because i hate them a lot. Or buy a tag and shoot two.
If the game biologists give the OK than I say on with the hunt.
