I live in Central Ohio and prefer to go out after midnight. The best time of year is now.
I went out last night and was buzzed by an owl which came out of nowhere while I was calling. Scared the heck out of me.
Hey Matt. Buckhunter is right, right now they are starting to breed and they are out in full force. In Port Clinton this morning and they were running the marshes and around the lake front. I'm a little farther west then that though. I have had plenty of coyote coming into my treestand between 8:30am and 11:00 am over the last month regularly. Shot 2 with bow. La Su Ann area has a over abundance of coyote this year running in packs of 3 to 5 early mornings till same times. But the night time hunting should be pretty good soon usually late week of January through March anytime after sunset till ? As I said they have been running strong 8:30am till lunch time. 4 of us shot 7 this afternoon in Ottawa and Sandusky counties just sitting field and hedgerows along the water
