Actually I built one this last fall. After pricing them out, you can build one for about half the price, maybe a little more. Electric is not that bad. Since you only need to run it once in a while when you have your deer.
I let my first deer hang 10 days and my second deer hung 14 days. Aging the meat definitely works.
Ya but it would be more weight. U could use one to transport meat to your home. I keeps it cooler and the dirt off. It also takes away some of the game taste.

Hell yes! Can we all share it with you!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!
As soon I leave the woods, I swoop down to Cockrum's Custom Meat Processing, 3925 Highway 348, Rudy, AR 72952 to have it done. Basic cut is $45 bucks, a lot less than buying a walk in cooler!
yes the longer you can age or hang beef, venison, pork whatever the better it will taste. I would say you can go out to two weeks if the temp is cold, then cut it up and freeze it. or better yet grill it.

Sorry for the repitional clicking. My niece likes to help. Sorry once again. She's leaving in the a.m.
If you have the means to do so, then go ahead and do it because it will deffinitely help out.
In warm weather when you are unable to process it is a must. Fortunately, I have access to a cooler for $1.50 a day.
Absolutely! No doubt about it!
