well as i was leaveing the woods at dark this evening i had a doe run out of the field into the woods all i saw was a quick flash but right after the doe ran i walked a few more feet and saw a snipe fly out of the cut corn first time i have seen one in the woods and i have hunted awhile now what i wanna know is are they good eatin

I've heard they were. I've never had one though.
They are supposed to be but you would want a couple of them. Not alot of meat.
i think they are somewhat " fishy"
They are fishy and small. And they are hard to hit. Hunting them cannot be justified. A snipe is simply not worth the price of a shotgun shell.

Really they are tasty!!
Shot some this fall. Wrapped the breast in bacon and fried them. Could not tell the difference between them and the teal and mallards except the size.
