Q:
Anyone got good tactics for late-season doves? I'm trying to round out a portion so I've got enough for an appatizer.

Go to any pond that has bare ground at least 20 yards from the shore line. Hunt it the day before a cold front hits. If you have a mojo dove, USE IT.

Late season doves are not going to be migratory, not those that spent the summer in a sunflower field. Best keep you options option and move to where they are flying. Try to scout the day before. Get your binoculars and search the tree lines they might be following. Your best luck will be right before sundown.
