If you break up flock, a hen decoy could be helpful kee-kee-ing. It brings them back just about every time.

i ve never used them in fall but i dont see why a hen decoy wouldnt work. as for spring i ve killed birds with and without decoys but now after i bought a full strut decoy i never leave home with out it. the first day i used it i had three birds down by noon. all shot in very highly pressured woods. If your a serious turkey hunter you should definitely have a full strut decoy in your turkey vest.
