Q:
I am looking to buy a nice acrylic duck call for duck season. I am an average duck caller, but can not blow a feeding call. Any suggestions on what call to buy?

Blowing a feeder call is all tongue. Try making a "t" sound repeatedly really fast. That might help. If you don't have good luck blowing the feeder on an acrylic, then try a shaker. I think with some practice though you'll have that feeder down in no time.

As far as picking a call I reccommend going to either a show or a store where they will let you test the call or blow it for you to hear the sound.

Jeff Foiles and Barnie Calef both go to some shows in MN. Both make great sounding calls. If you see them at shows they will also help tune your call for you.

After buying calls that sound like a dying hippo/rhino (my fault) I tried a primos and now they are the only company I use. Alot of times they have a dvd with the call and you can always go on their website and look at the instructions again as a refresher. Kepp on practicing I usually practice while driving. Good luck.

I have the same problem i have an iverson call that doesnt work anymore for any of the calls...the reed is pretty much shot...but for some reason it still makes an incredible feeding call...primos are pretty good too
