I was wondering how effective a ground blind is for turkey hunting because I have one and wanted to know if I should use it this year?

They are great but my pop up blind is loud when it pops up. Don't know if the turkeys care but the deer sure do.

I've had turkeys standing within 3 ft of mine so I'd say yes they do work.

I read an article from Mark Drury and he said that if you have decoys, you can place a ground blind in the open and the turkeys won't even notice. Is this true?

That is true you turkey will be focued on those decoys and in alot of cases they will not notice your blind.

I have used a blind quite a bit. I have had deer lick it and had turkeys surround it while I was inside.

Blinds work great for turkeys ive had them less than 5 feetvfrom the blind..as long as you sit still they work awsome.
