Q:
I'm new to turkey hunting, but has anyone had any luck hunting turkeys when there's a good amount of snow on the ground? Is a non- snow pattern camo worthless to wear? What calls did you make?

I use the cluck more than anything in the fall. And it doesn't matter if you are wearing a tree/foliage camo pattern. Just as long as you sit up against a tree and put a little bit of brush in front of you, you'll be fine.
I used to walk up on turkeys or have them walk up on me during deer rifle season. Now that I've started to target the turkeys, I hardly see them. Go figure.
use all calls, clucks, yelps, kee kee, even gobble. turkeys are quite vocal setting and maintaining pecking order.
I use snow camo when there is snow on the ground and sit low to the ground next to a corn stalk or clump of grass. Turkeys have walked right up to me. snow time is great time to hunt.

My two "GO TO GUYS" are Beekeeper/Del in KS on this one. You might want to "re-post" to them directly, on this. Hope this helps.
