If I was just shooting teal & wood ducks (like in those special early seasons) I would use 4's. Most of the teal I've shot was with 2's because we've got lots of mallards flying about.

I've used all kinds of shot sizes for teal, and can't bring them down...might help if I could hit one. :)
I'm with O.H. And GERG- but I will say for a mixed bag duck hunt I load up with 3" #3's. Always seemed like a safe middle ground.
