Q:
Is anyone on here familiar with Smithville Lake in Missouri? That's where I may end up duck hunting this weekend because most of the ducks down here are congregating there. If you do know the lake, can anyone tell me where Pool F would be? I cannot find a map showing the pools anywhere, but I know there is such thing and its supposedly good for hunting.

I lived in KC for a while in the ‘90s and used to hunt and fish Smithville a lot. I just had a canoe, and mainly hunted in the narrow coves at the north end of the lake. Those areas can be good, especially if the weather is bad enough to push birds off the main lake. Don’t know where Pool F is. Check some local sporting goods stores – you should be able to find a detailed map of the lake. I used to have one, probably still do, somewhere, that showed depth, submerged structure, etc. Great fishing lake, and I shot a lot of waterfowl there.
