I love it and I've always admired Robert Ruark's assertion that Dove hunting was either the easiest hard shooting or the hardest easy shooting in the world. When it comes to bacon wrapped grilled doves, I'm liable to forget my manners and get greasy to my wrists eating them. I'm glad I'm not nearly as deadly as Del---I get to enjoy the hunt longer.
Would love to, but our season got voted down in MI a couple years back. The Humane Society and other Anti groups threw a bunch of money into TV ads that were portraying doves as "beautiful song birds" and having insufficient meat to even hunt. Ridiculous and sad.
I love to hunt them but don't get the opportunity anymore. The lease I hunt is too thick and the farms I used to hunt are now housing developments. I like to take the breasts and some onion, jalapeno red and green peppers then wrap in bacon and grill.
Love dove hunting till I find out how much i spend in shells during the season, which i tend to forget about untill the next season is over. Buddy of mine calls it D-Day. Nice challange and practice for the rest of the hunting season.
It is very fun sport I love it
benelli
7-1/2 shot size
and a sun flower feild equals a fun day with a bag full of doves
I like doves meat that been marinade with soy sauce
One of my favorites. Fired upon a dove for the first time at age 10 and never looked back. A gentleman's sport. Excellent tasting. Good warmup for ducks for you and your dawg

I'd love to try dove hunting but we don't have a season here. I've heard that doves are a very hard target to get used to.
