just behind the leg a little more than 1/3 up from the bottom.

It's about the size of a basketball, just behind the front leg 1/4 to 2/3 of the way up. Careful not to hit the shoulder.

Its the same place as any other big gams animal. I hit mine a little high this year. I got lucky and clipped a lung. It ran about 400 yard and died. mike0714 has it pretty good with 1/3 the way up.
