season starts oct 1 in MI, and i like my stand up in early september.
i was thinking the same thing, and i live in Michigan also.
Ditto, about a month in advance.
If you are planning on hunting from a stand, you should spend a good amount of your overall practice time practicing from the stand.
Yeah I shoot for 4-6 weeks in advance, just whatever works out with my schedule.
September is a good month to hang stands. I will put some up earlier and later though.
all of my stands are already up. I like to go find spots to hang stands while i'm out shed hunting.
I usally put mine up a month before the season so the deer can get use to them.
