My dad was wanting to buy a crossbow and was wondering if you could use a crossbow instead of a bow during bow season.

In some states, you have to have proof of a handicap to use a crossbow during the archery season. Better check your state's hunting regulations.

As said different states different regs. check your local regs on this. PA yes just started allowing them this past season.

Crossbows are gaining acceptance during bow seasons in more states. Texas allowed the use of crossbows during this past archery season. The best advice is as posted above check your state's Parks and Wildlife web.

Depending which state, you may have to show proof of a disability or handicap to hunt with a crossbow. Thats how it is here in MO
