Ive looked at my local shop i use and im having trouble deciding between a Mathews and the diamond deadeye, fugitive, or outlaw they are all pretty much the same bow just dif speeds and minor details. Yeah the Mathews bows are expensive, but to me the price is worth it. You can get some great deals on used Mathews and even other top end bows. You should be able to pick up a 2011 model for around $600 this time of year.

I agree, I splurged and bought a Z7 in February last year. Season was over and they were really pushing the Extreme'e so I got a heck of a buy on it. For me it is the best bow I have ever had in my hand. I like it so much that up until now I have left the .270 and 30/6 in the gun safe. Been bowhunting all year.

Check out the Mission Line by Matthews. They start around $400.

I think that any bow you buy these days is a great bow. With the technology thats out there, i think that with matthews you are only paying for the name. Also i wouldnt be a bad idea to look for used bows this time of the year when everyone is getting rid of them. Alot of people only use a bow for a year or 2 then buy a brand new one and sometimes you can get a hell of a deal that way. Dont be afraid to check out the Hoyt line too.

They're both nice bows, but you're upgrading. Get the bow you really want. You deserve it.
