I have been shooting the whisker biscuit on my bow for at least 5 yrs and love it. I shoot 4 inch plastic vanes. I think I read somewhere and please don't quote me on it because I am far from an expert...that the shorter vanes that are supposed to put more spin on an arrow don't work as good with the whisker biscuit....but I am happy with mine
Ive shot wisker biscuit for going on 9 years now, I personaly havent had any vanes damaged because of it. I have heard you cannot use the quick spin style with them though. Ill just keep shooting standard vanes and Im going to keep on useing my wisker biscuit.
i had a wisker biscuit on my Mathews drenalin. it worked good for about a year and a half and then it started shooting inconsistantly. took it to the pro shop and they said that fast bows wear wisker biscuits fast. I ended up putting a drop away on it and it has worked fine ever since.
I think whisker biscuit is probably the best rest for hunting but I have had problems with vane wrinkling and even tearing. When I contacted the manufacturer they said to use blazer or other high quality vanes to minimize this problem.

the bow I shoot is a older style Golden Eagle,so that might make a difference.
I used a Trophy taker shaky hunter for 4 years on my Mathews Switchback XT with never a problem. Took 10 deer and 1 turkey with nothing ever hearing my draw and no problems with arrow falling off the rest. Put a new Trophy Taker on my new Z-7 and it is even better It has a rubber coated (for silence) guard that keeps the arrow in place and is just as quiet and accurate as the old one was. The drawback is it costs about 110 bucks or so.
I experimented considerably with the whisker biscuit when they fist came out and I can tell you with confidence that you should shoot the size that is larger than your arrow diameter. No vane loss and much quieter and deadly accurate. I have also taken to waxing(paste wax) my carbon arrow shafts and the noise is totally gone. Cost is always a consideration for me and the whisker biscuit is inexpensive and easy to maintain. If I were a target shooter I would choose another rest but for hunting I'll stay with the biscuit.

I like the drop away, less chance of hand torque, quieter and just more accurate.
