Yes but I would suggest 2 blade cut on contact broadheads, razor sharp, and a lot of practice.

this is first yr using longbow i ussaly use a recurve 50 ilbs

proly won't get a clean pass through but shouldn't matter. practice alot of different ranges and heights if you plan on hunting out of a stand in my opinion they shoot differently than than compounds from a treestand.

Most states require bows to have a pull of 40 lb to ensure a clean kill. Althought its barely above the minimum, a well placed shot will do work.

I have heard that anything above 40 is acceptable.
