This is the best,

But for people not sure if they will like it or not, look for this one.

ALWAYS USE A SAFETY SLIDE! The arrow will tangle in your bow if you don't, and you will end up in the ER.

AP gives good advice.

The AMS bowfishing outfit is expensive but well worth the money. If anything it is a much safer unit and a pleasure to shoot.

I agree with buckhunter.. the AMS reel is the way to go. There is no other reel that works so well. The cheap rigs affect the flight of the arrow and cause to many tangles to work right.

Check out http://www.amsbowfishing.com
They have pretty good prices on everything you need and more. Also, you can find info on the sport that should be helpful. The most inexpensive setup is probably the kit from Cajun Archery, which is sufficient for what the sport demands.

Oh, and like the others said....
If you can swing the 70-130 bucks, go with the AMS retriever pro. Be sure to get the "pro" if you do. It is a lot more durable and works better overall.
