I'm going to start huntin' 'em as soon as the 16-inches of snow begins to melt here in Kentucky. The weatherman is calling for more snow this week-end.
I think the snow and cold have affected the deers metabolism, they are not used to this kind of weather.
Ive been once this year and didn't find anything but im going out again this weekend. Shed hunting is tough though you never know how much ground a deer will over if hes looking for food or shelter just keep at it is the best thing to do
if i were you i would wait till at least the middle of march thats when i go out and i have pretty good luck. Sure some deer have already shed cause wer im from most of them still have a rack i know that because of trail cameras if u go out before most of the deer shed then u take the chance of maybe scarin the big one off the property during shedding time.
