Q:
I grunted in a big ten point that was chasing a doe. I dont know what went wrong, but I missed him. After I shot he just stood there, and then he trotted off casually. What should I do to harvest him now? Will he come back?

It's very possible that he will be back, however it's not likely that you will grunt him in again. Although he wasn't really alarmed, I'm sure there was a level of discomfort that will keep him from responding again. My advice would be to hunt the same area, and watch for him moving down the trail.
Are you sure you missed? Did you recover your arrow? I'm assuming it was a bow because I've never seen a buck trot off after being fired upon with a gun. That said I think chances are he'll avoid that area a bit. Let things cool down for a while then try again.
To PBR8SEC: I shot at him with a rifle. I know its hard to believe, but he did trot off. There is a HEAVILY used train track close by, so the deer in that area are used to loud noises. It is also where they swap tracks, so there are a lot of times something sounds like a rifle but really isnt. I guess thats why he didnt seem to spooked, and like I said, he stood completely still for about 3 seconds after I shot. Any advise on how to hunt him?
I have seen rutting bucks not react to a rifle shot at all, both hits and misses.
Jeez, how many rounds does your rifle hold? Allow me to introduce you to some new terminology, "follow up shot", which is what you fire after your first round fails to connect.
If it was a rifle id make sure that its definitely sighted in again and that the scope or sights didn't get messed up.
You were lazy. You should have tracked him and found his dead body.
