Q:
I'm a southern boy who has seen whitetails go absolutely crazy over corn, C'Mere Deer, mollasses, etc. I was wondering do mule deer (and even elk) react the same way to these food based attractants?

I would say probably, they all seem to like the same foods.
I am sure that they would the only problem you would have is states that have Elk and Mule deer Like Montana where I am from typicaly Do Not allow bait to be used when hunting. Takes away from the idea of fair chase.
I am sure that the mule deer would definatly will come to the bait but it is illegal. Elk im not to sure about. The feed in herds and have patterns unlilke deer. So im not sure bait will work will elk.
I would assume it would be just as effective. I know around here the bears love all that stuff!
We never tried to use anything like that in Colo. Because of the "baiting" laws.
ALJOE you forgot the soybean fields and acorns
