My experience has been that they move best during high barometric pressure with chilly temperatures and little to moderate wind (not still). They move the least in stormy weather, but will move well ahead of a frontal system. Unless the weather is atrocious, go anyhow---you never know what will show up. Good luck.
All true. I like it at Daylight with a mid 30s the night before. As the sun comes up they will start moving into feeding areas usually and try to warm up and feed.

They move best on overcast days with a light breeze or still air. Otherwise they'll Sun or seek shelter.
