Never tried harvesting urine, but have another tip you might try. If you or someone in your hunting party shoots a hot doe, try cutting out the tarsal glands and hang them near your stand like you would a scent wick. You could also try drain her bladder in your hunting area, but I have never tried that, just heard of guys doing it before.

I've heard the old timers talk about saving the bladder from a harvested doe, never done it myself. I know you have to be careful what container you put that sort of thing in. I know of two different guys who used what they thougth was nasal spray that turned out to be buck lure of some sort. Can you imagine?????????

007 - I just cringe at that. I hope no one considers using that as a camp trick. That would call for tar and feathers and hanging by the toes in a rattlesnake pit.

I can just picture the guy with a lariat lassoing a doe and trying to get it to pee in a cup. Sounds like a job for Jimmy Big Time.

I have carefully removed the bladder, then dumped into a spray bottle. I seem to contaminate the urine every time though. I've thought about using a air hose for fish tank or live bait well to run up the urethra, the urine should drain without contamintion this way.

I have run a zip tie around the bladder when I am cleaning a deer, cut it out, and dumped it into an old scent spray bottle. I have used it, and it seems to smell very much like the store bought sprays. I can't say that it definitely worked, but its possible to do.

Seems to me that a hypodermic needle could be used to extract the uring from the bladder during the cleaning process---just be careful with it.
