Q:
I just went out and splurged some last night on hunting gear. Got me some new LaCrosse boots and tell ya what, they aint cheap!
But I bought some buck urine and some estrous doe scent and was wondering what the BEST way to lay these are? Also I bought a grunt-snort-wheeze call from MAD anyone had any luck with these? If so let me know some good ways to use it!

I'll put urine on the bottom of my boots for the final 100-200 yards to my stand. I might drip a few drops around my stand and I'll hang a scent wick lightly moistened with doe urine nearby. I believe less is more when it comes to doe urine.
Man isn't buying new gear great! If your hunting near some scrapes, that's where I'd put the buck urine. I'll string a scent wick thru a rubber band, and on the walk in to my stand, I'll dip it in estrous scent, and stretch the rubber band around my boot. Depending on the lenght of the walk, I'll stop and freshen it a few times. Once I'm close to my spot, I just slip the rubber band off, and hang it on a branch. If you want to continue your gear buying binge, the BEST way to use scents in my opinion, is with decoys. I've got a small buck and a doe decoy, and with a little scent, you'll be amazed at the encounters you can have in the woods! Good luck.
You are ready to GO! Wow... lots of goodies. Good advice above. Don't over use the calls... less is more. Also, I agree with jbird, that dragging estrous scent behind your boots is better than putting it on them. If you put it on your boots, the bucks will follow the scent right to the base of your tree and bust you. Although it sounds as though that should be a happy problem, you can miss shots that way. It is better to keep them out in front of you in a target zone so you get a better shot. If they come from behind you, they can be on your tree and bust you before you see them.
