I killed a nice full velvet buck in the early gun season of lowcountry SC. I already have him back. If it is early enough in the season the taxidermist arnt swamped with work so there is a quicker turnaround.
No kidding here guys. I shot it 5Oct, took it to taxidermist a couple days later and picked it up yesterday. When have been a week sooner if he didn't have a kitchen fire at home. He is busier now, but the business I am bringing through the rest of the season will put me at the top of the list when I bring something in.
He must have had a cape already tanned before you brought it in..... Not calling anyone anything here, just sounded rather quick to me. There have been tall tales spun on this Blog before, by the way.

I've never heard of anyone getting a mount back that fast.
The bear my brother shot will take about 3 months, but he is quick on the deer.
