Q:
I have a question for you deer hunters. I only have 3 days left to bow hunt and over the season I have passed on some small 6's and 8's and I wondering if you guys would shoot them now or eat your tag.

You shouldn't have any regrets, it's not like you took a six-point and a ten point came in while you were dressing him. The waiting game was played, now it's ok to let the arrows fly!

Depends how you're managing your property.. If you have the option to let them grow, let them be your trophy next year!! Take a doe and eat that! If you don't have the option of management, I guess you can take one of the small boys.. I'd rather watch them grow myself.

For me it will be eat the tag or put it on a doe if the buck I want does not come by.
BTW saw a monster 8 pointer today just off KS highway 7. He was very close to the place where I got a big buck that was injured by a car last week.

If it's private land you manage, stick to your gameplan, but if it's public land, I'd probably shoot one.

I eat a lot of tags, but that is the main course, if you're wanting to tag a large deer.

I get my does, but always hold out for a particular buck!
