Do bigger bucks chase does a couple days later in the rut than smaller bucks?

Yes the smaller bucks will dog doe's alot earlier than the mature bucks they tend to lay back and let the youngsters do all the work of wearing her down and then when the time is rite he will take over by running them off they try to save what energy they have for breeding and fighting other mature bucks from his lady friend thats why he lays back and waits the younger bucks dont understand just yet but give them a couple years they will figure it out.

Turk has hit it on the nose! The youngsters case em around til they want to bed and the big one comes and mates. The younsters still get a few now and then too.

Seen that a few times. Late in the season a big buck will be chasing a doe.

I would think not because they get first pick on the does then the littler bucks get their picks. I'm not for sure.
