Q:
This past Tuesday, I drove up to my hunting land to hang a stand.. while driving up the driveway, a group of three does were feeding but when they saw my truck, they ran up the hill.. A small 4 pointer was with them.. Does small bucks usually hang around does during the pre-rut before the does come into estrus? And do bigger bucks do this or do they wait?

wait on that group! typically, a bigger buck will come a long and run him off. the smaller bucks will chase sooner as is a younger man's style. the larger one's will come along later. hold out!
Could be last "Spring's" "baby" still following "mom/aunts/sister" around too. Bigger buck(s) WILL find them and run the little guy off !
big bucks will come and run him off like the others said.last year a poacher shot a four point in da leg and i had to use my buck tag on him.id prefer to take a dear thats in pain rather than the deer thats healthy.even though all the meat was infected cuz he had that leg like that fora while.
mos tof the time young bucks will stay together but somethimes they will follow does to find food the does will run the young bucks off most of the time during the rut
