my dad has one also and we agree comfortable,but......HEAVY so if you've got one tree you want to climb it's great, if not get ready to build those muscles!!
I have had my Tree Lounge for many years and it's held up under all kinds of weather conditions. It is definetly the most comfortable tree climbing bstand that I have ever had. Have to agree with everyone else about the weight. Unless your young and strong, don't even think about packing this in very far.
It's fairly quick and easy to set up. Mine is set up for both Bow & Rifle hunting so that makes it even heavier.
Just for the record, I'm 60 years young!
We have several. 2 we made by our selves. The home made one's are similar to the one shown in one of the F&S issues from a while back. We also made some awesome blinds. If you or a friend are good at building things, build a blind or tree stand, its a lot cheaper!
I have 2 older heavy rectangular type TreeLounge stands and the newer round tube design stand. Not as heavy, all very comfortable. But with the stands available today the cost is not worth it. I paid around $425 each for the bowhunter versions with platforms. They are hard to get into platform as well. I have gone to the Ol'Man climbers and they are lighter, just as comfortable and in my oppinion safer to use. plus they are less expensive starting at $185 for the basic model. I guide whitetail hunts and hunt myself daily 100 plus days a year in an Ol'Man stand. 100% satisfied with Ol'Man treestands, trust my clients lives,my family's lives and my life on them.
I'll second (third, etc.) the comments about the Tree Lounge being the most comfortable. I've had mine for 20 or so years and have spent many complete days in it. The "nest" pad that was an option made it really comfortable for extended periods, including naps! I've lost my pad while moving, so if anyone has one I'm in the market. I did not like to use if for bow hunting as I did not feel secure standing on the bow platform so far out from the tree.

Sorry, misunderstood the question, thought you were talking about any old tree stand.
